Match drawn after Cambridgeshire were set a target of 140 runs in 70 minutes. The main feature of the match was Hayward taking all ten wickets in the Norfolk first innings for 37 runs. This was the only such instance in the season. Statistically, it was the best bowling performance in an innings since the Championship was launched, improving on C Shore's 10 wickets for 50 runs for Norfolk v Durham at Norwich in 1897. In the match Hayward took 13 wickets for 117 runs, which was statistically the second best match bowling performance of the year. There were 4 fours in Watts's 58 and 5 fours in Lees's 53. In the Cambridgeshire first innings, Lees and Hayward put on 71 runs for the eighth wicket, which was the joint third highest partnership for that wicket during the season. For Norfolk, Relf's 71 included 9 fours.
