This match was drawn with both teams exceeding 300 in their first innings. For Buckinghamshire, Cobb's 111, scored in just over 2½ hours, contained 13 fours, 4 threes and 12 twos, while Saunders scored 56. In the home team's first innings, these two batsmen put on 133 for the second wicket, which was the largest partnership for that wicket during the season. For Berkshire, Croome's 132 included 17 fours, 3 threes and 12 twos, an innings of 2 ¾ hours, and with L G A Collins, who scored 76, he put on 203 runs for the sixth wicket. Their partnership was a new Championship record for that wicket, exceeding the 134 runs put on by F J Peers and F W French for Cambridgeshire against Durham at West Hartlepool in July. The 56 overs and 34 maidens bowled by Wright in the visitors' innings were both the second most bowled during the season. When dismissing Allcott in the Buckinghamshire first innings, Barker took his hundredth wicket in championship matches. All sources listed give the runs conceded bowling in the Buckinghamshire innings as being 4 short.
[Missing: Umpires; in Buckinghamshire 1st inns boundaries in Saunders's 56; in Buckinghamshire 2nd inns runs conceded bowling 4 short; in Berkshire inns boundaries in L G A Collins's 76, and wides and no balls in bowling analysis different from those in extras breakdown for batting.]
