Surrey 2nd XI completed their victory shortly before noon on the second day. It was Dorset's fourth consecutive defeat by an innings. For the winners, Baker scored 79 and Wiltshire 56. Bowley arrived late on the first day when the Surrey 2nd XI score was 64 for nought. Barnard had fielded as substitute. Crimmins badly damaged a finger when he caught Davis and retired from the match.
