Wiltshire won by an innings and 140 runs at 3.50 pm on the second day. The margin of victory was the third largest of the season. Dorset were dismissed in their second innings for 80 runs in just over an hour and a half. For the winners, Smith's 115 included 7 fours, 5 threes and 21 twos and T Smart's 70 contained ? fours. Smith also took 9 wickets in the match for 82 runs and T Smart 7 for 43. The North Wilts Herald report indicates that in the Wiltshire innings Smith and Smart put on 130 runs for the seventh wicket. This was the highest partnership for that wicket during the season. For Dorset, Crimmins's 73 not out contained 7 fours.
