Yorkshire 2nd XI won by 10 wickets at ? pm on the second day. Surrey 2nd XI had won the match between the two sides at Barnsley in May. For the winners, there were 12 fours in Wilkinson's 81 and 7 fours in Rudston's 63. For the losers, Moulder's 121 contained 1 six, 2 fives, 10 fours, 5 threes and 11 twos. There were 8 fours in Gooder's 60 not out and 1 five and 3 fours in Goatly's 53. In the Surrey first innings, Moulder and Goatly put on 101 runs for the fifth wicket and Moulder and Gooder 53 for the seventh wicket. In the second innings Gooder and Nice added 60 for the eighth wicket, which was the second highest partnership for that wicket during the season.
