This rain-interrupted return match was drawn. Rain stopped play in the morning session on the first day and it was not resumed until 3.25 pm. Then a heavy thunderstorm at 4.05 pm after the close of the Glamorgan innings prevented the start of the Monmouthshire innings. On the second day a new pitch was prepared, but there was no play until 5.00 pm. Tatham's 50 not out for
the home side included ? fours. When the sides had met at Cardiff in June, the match had also been drawn.
