The Cambridgeshire first innings lasted for just 65 minutes and Trudgett had the extraordinary bowling analysis of 9 wickets for 14 runs. It was statistically the best innings bowling performance of the season. He did not take a wicket in the Cambridgeshire second innings. For the winners, there were 1 five and 13 fours in Quaife's 93, 8 fours in Lake's 59, and 1 five and 5 fours in Newton's 50. In the Suffolk innings Raynor and Lake added 78 runs for the seventh wicket. For the losers, Thomas's 47 was the top-score.
