This match was drawn with Monmouthshire winning on first innings. The Monmouthshire second innings declaration left Glamorgan 352 runs to win in just under 3½ hours, but at 4.30 pm heavy rain fell and stopped play. The match was abandoned as a draw at 5.30 pm when it was clear no further play would be possible. On the first day, rain had stopped play between 3.00 pm and 4.10 pm. For the visitors, there were 24 fours, 4 threes and 4 twos in E S Phillips's 150. Riches top scored for Glamorgan with 43 not out which contained 5 fours.
