The game between the two teams at Felixstowe the previous week had been won by Cambridgeshire. For the home team, there were 3 fours in Bristowe's 75, 4 fours in Watts's 62 and 4 fours in C Pigg's 50. In the Cambridgeshire first innings, Bristowe and Watts put on 137 runs for the third wicket, and in the second innings C Pigg and Chaplin put on 50 runs for the seventh wicket.
