Glamorgan won this return match by an innings 259 runs at lunch on the second day, after enforcing the follow on. The encounter between the two sides at Neath in June had also been won by Glamorgan. For the winners, Creber and Nash bowled unchanged through both innings. Creber took 15 wickets for 92 runs, including 9 for 56 in the home team's first innings which was statistically the third best innings bowling performance of the season. Nash took 5 for 60. Whittington's 188 included 23 fours and 7 threes and there were 12 fours in Preece's 73. In the Glamorgan innings, Whittington and Preece added 114 runs for the fourth wicket.
