Bedfordshire won this return match by 10 wickets at 6.05 pm on the second day. When the sides met at the beginning of July at the Bedford Grammar School ground, the match had been drawn. For the winners, there 25 fours, 3 threes and 8 twos in Peel's 143, an innings of 117 minutes. Rice's 57 included 6 fours and Wharmby's 56 contained 1 five and 6 fours. In the Bedfordshire first innings, Rice and Peel put on 164 runs for the first wicket in 98 minutes. For the losers, Cozens-Hardy's 102 contained 15 fours , 2 threes and 7 twos, scored in 3½ hours. Barratt's 50 included 1 five and 4 fours. In the Norfolk second innings, Cozens-Hardy and Barratt put on 136 runs for the fourth wicket, after Dunell was badly hit on the body by a ball from Wharmby.
