Glamorgan won this rain-interrupted return match by an innings and 19 runs at 6.05 pm on the second day, after Carmarthenshire followed on 112 runs behind. The match between the two sides at Llanelly in June had also been won by Glamorgan by an innings. Play on the first day was stopped by rain shortly after 3.00 pm, and on the second day a start was not made until 2.00 pm after an early lunch had been taken. For the winners, Riches 141 not out, scored in 210 minutes, contained 22 fours and 3 threes. Creber took 10 wickets in the match for 93 runs. Howell top-scored for Carmarthenshire with 42. Mills damaged his hand in stopping a firm drive off his bowling by Riches and had to retire. Morris strained a leg muscle that prevented him fielding in the Carmarthenshire second innings. There were 3 run outs in the Carmarthenshire first innings.
