Rain-affected drawn return match with Nottinghamshire 2nd XI winning on first innings. The match between the two sides at Jesmond in June had also been drawn. Rain at 12.15 pm on the second day halted play. It was still raining at 4.00 pm when the match was abandoned, saving Northumberland from almost certain defeat.
