Glamorgan won this return match by an innings and 327 runs at 2.15 pm on the second day. The match between the two sides at Llanelly at the end of May had also been won by Glamorgan. The Glamorgan total of 531-9 wickets declared was the highest of the season and they scored 485 of these on the first day in only 245 minutes. Glamorgan declared on the second day as J D D Davis had not yet arrived at the ground. For the winners, there was 1 six, 19 fours 6 threes and 8 twos in Elers 151, 18 fours in Whittington's 133. There were 3 sixes and 11 fours in Maxwell's 90, and 10 fours in Gibbs's 80. In the Glamorgan innings, Whittington and Gibbs put on 173 runs for the second wicket, and Elers and Maxwell 146 runs for the seventh wicket. Nash took 10 wickets in the match for 64 runs. For the losers, I Evans carried his bat through the Carmarthenshire second innings with 70 not out with 1 five and 9 fours.
