This card comes from the Minor Counties Research Project - research is continuing on this scorecard which can be expected to change.
This return match was drawn. The match between the two sides at Nottingham in June had been won by Nottinghamshire 2nd XI. Due to heavy rain, no play was possible on the first day, and due to the sodden state of the wicket on the second day it was decided to abandon the match. However, for the spectators it was decided to play a four-hour 'friendly match' which would not be included in the Minor Counties Championship. It was reported that "many of the players did not take the game seriously." For Nottinghamshire, Lee top-scored with 36. Hardisty made the highest score for Yorkshire 2nd XI with 34 not out.
