Match drawn with Northumberland winning on first innings. Durham had been set 307 to win in 2¼ hours. For the home team, there were 2 sixes and 11 fours and 1 six and 8 fours respectively in Stanger-Leathes's two innings of 96 and 67. There were 7 fours and 1 six and 6 fours respectively in Richardson's two innings of 74 and 58. Gilman's 93 contained 15 fours. In the Northumberland first innings, Stanger-Leathes and Nesbit put on 113 runs for the second wicket, and Gilman and Richardson added 135 runs for the fifth wicket. For the visitors, Bradford's 123 included 12 fours, an innings of 2¾ hours. Harrison's 70 not out included 1 six and 8 fours and Hendren's 62 not out 1 six and 7 fours. In the Durham first innings Bradford and Kinch added 102 runs for the eighth wicket and in the second innings Harrison and Hendren put on an undefeated 134 for the fourth wicket.
