Glamorgan won this match by an innings and 226 runs on the second day. For the winners Whittington scored 176, Riches 65, Billings 62, and Symonds 55. Whittington had stands of 124 for the first wicket with Riches, 102 for the second wicket with Bancroft, and 101 for the third wicket with Symonds. Freethy and Billings put on 64 for the seventh wicket. Maxwell
took 13 wickets for 69 runs including 7 for 31 in the first Carmarthenshire innings. For Carmarthenshire Rees was top scorer with 48. During the Glamorgan innings the wicket-keeper W Davies injured a hand and I Evans deputised.
