Berkshire won this return match by an innings and 136 runs on the second day. The match between the two sides at Llanelly earlier in the month was drawn with no result on first innings. For the winners Brougham scored 150 which included 26 fours, his first 50 took 20 minutes and his 100 80 minutes. Belcher scored 104 not out in 59 minutes with 19 fours. Woodburn scored 51. Bennett and Brougham added 109 for the first wicket and Belcher and Woodburn 107 for the sixth. For Carmarthenshire W Davies, the wicketkeeper, injured a finger early in Berkshire's innings and I Evans deputised.
