This return match was drawn with Monmouthshire winning on first innings. The match between the two sides at Slough in July was drawn. The start of the match was delayed until after lunch on the first day due to a railway strike. Cars were used to take players to the ground. In Monmouthshire's first innings there were 11 fours in Silverlock's 73 and 13 fours in F G Phillips's 80. In the Monmouthshire second innings Phillips scored 100 not out and Silverlock made 74. For Buckinghamshire Frith scored 64.
