Barnes and Escott added 73 for the eighth wicket in the second innings. For the losers, Silverlock top-scored in both innings with scores of 39 and 66. Raikes took 8 wickets for 122 in the match, including 5 for 44 in Cornwall's first innings. Port took 5 wickets for 16 runs in Monmouthshire's first innings whilst Whiting took 5 wickets for 26 in their second knock.
