Durham CCC scorebook with thanks to Brian Hunt
This return match was won by Durham on the first day. The weather was fine, but the pitch was soft and batting was difficult. The match between the two sides at South Shields in June had also been won by Durham. For the winners, Morris and Adamson bowled unchanged through both of the Lincolnshire innings, Adamson taking 11 wickets for 55 runs in the match, including 8 for 25 in the first innings, and Morris 8 wickets for 60 runs, including 6 wickets for 28 runs in the second. H Brooks's 35 was the highest score in the match and included 4 fours. For the home side, Day scored 26 and Riley took 6 wickets for 30 runs in the Durham first innings.
