Lincolnshire won this match 15 minutes after lunch on the second day by 105 runs. For the winners Kitchen scored 59 with 8 fours and with Mantle added 102 runs for the ninth wicket in the first innings. Broughton took 11 wickets in the match for 73 runs including 6 for 44 in the Kent 2nd XI first innings and 5 for 29 in the second innings. Day took 5 wickets for 24 runs in the Kent second innings. For Kent Dutnall top scored with 36 in the first innings. Freeman took 11 wickets in the match for 120 runs including 5 for 66 in the Lincolnshire first innings and 6 for 54 in the second. In the Lincolnshire first innings C J Nevile retired injured having scored 8 with the score at 17, returning after the fall of the sixth wicket.
