Kent won this return match by 153 runs on the second day. Due to rain play did not start on Saturday until 3.30pm and after Kent declared their second innings, Lincolnshire were bowled out for just 64 having been set 218 to win in 2 hours. The match between the two sides at Town Malling in July had been won by Lincolnshire. For the winners Hickmott scored 62 with 1 six and 8 fours in the first innings and Day 55 in the second. Hickmott took 5 wickets for 55 runs in the Lincolnshire first innings and Smith took 6 for 26 in the second. For Lincolnshire Gibson top scored with 35 in the first innings.
