This exciting match hinged on two run outs by Atkins as Norfolk attempted to score 173 at 85 an hour,
the match ending with ten minutes to spare. Witherden, in his 101*, hit 10 x 4, Edrich 1 x 6 and 10 x 4
Johns hit 9 x 4 and Stoddart 1 x 6 and 11 x 4. Their stand of 169 was thought to be a Lakenham record
for the third wicket.
