The game began at 16.31 on Friday but so bad was the weather that there was no play on either of the two last days. The North having won the toss again, a minor miracle in itself, Alan Morris decided to bat on an excellent wicket and everything was going well when the rains came. Morris was bowled by an absolute 'snorter; from Bernard Irigoyen who was to go on to better things in later games.
