The match was played at Lomas on the centenary of the club this hard fought match was noticeable for the debuts of four Dutch professionals one for the North and three for the South. The South who won the toss put the North into bat with excellent results. Nicholas Gregory was dismissed third ball and James Webber was run out two runs later. A partial recovery was made with 81 added for the fourth wicket by Jan Balk and Alan Morris who both hit 5 x 4's. Thereafter it was down hill all the way and the final total was 117. The South overtook their opponents for the loss of four wickets and finally had a advantage of 97 runs. The North played up well in the second innings but had too much leeway to make up and despite two good innings from James Webber and Mike Morris who hit 14 x 4's and a six between them the South had only 126 to win which they made in 36 overs for the loss of six wickets.
