For the winners, Wharmby took 9 wickets in the match for 81 runs, including 5 for 46 in the Hertfordshire first innings and Grierson 9 for 83, including 5 for 50 in the first innings. Wharmby played two innings of 52 and 51, the latter containing 3 fours. Orr scored 53. For the losers, Shelford took 12 wickets in the match for 100 runs, including 7 for 78 runs in the Bedfordshire first innings and 5 for 22 in the second. The debutant Bonsey scored 55. Holdstock did not bat in the Bedfordshire second innings due to a family bereavement.
