This match was drawn after Bedfordshire led on first innings by 173 runs. When the visitors began their second innings, 5 ½ hours remained for play. For the home side, there were 12 fours in Wharmby's 86, 8 fours in Bocquet's 64 and 1 five and 8 fours in Leventhorpe's 60 not out. In the Bedfordshire innings, Wharmby and Rogers put on 129 runs for the first wicket, and Leventhorpe and Saunders put on 51 runs for the tenth wicket. For the visitors, Bocock top-scored with 46 not out. In the Cambridgeshire second innings, Pigg and Bocock put on 75 runs for the eighth wicket. While bowling in the Cambridgeshire second innings, Wharmby at 3.15 pm strained a leg and left the field for an hour.
